WELCOME TO THE MAIN TRACKING SCREEN

1. PLAN LOGO

This indicates the plan you currently have selected in your PROFILE. (On APPLE this is located in the middle) You can change this at any time, though the recommendation by many long time members is that you give whichever plan you choose a minimum of two weeks to see results and get a feel for how it works. We have Facebook groups to support you in any plan that you choose. They are found HERE.

2. INVITE FRIENDS

Want friends to join you using iTrackBITES?

Send them a message by Messenger, Email or over Facebook and invite them to come join the fun.

3. BARCODE SCANNER

Use this option to scan your favorite food items. Align the barcode in the center of the grid and hold as steady as you can. The scanner relies on 4 criteria to work properly.

Phone Permission - you have to be sure that the phone is set to allow ITrackBITES to use your camera. If this is not set up correctly - the scanner will not work at all.

Enough Light - make sure the barcode is not in a dark shadow or turn on your flash (which is the little lightning bolt )

Enough WiFi - if it seems to just keep searching (spinning circle) this means it can't connect. Some stores have problems with dampening the signal and it may not work effectively.

Damaged / Bad Barcode - sometimes the only barcode on a product doesn't match the standard format and this makes it not scan. Or there could be a wrinkles in it, it can be damaged, it could have had a sticker over it that damaged one of the lines - this will all effect the scanner.

Try Another Item - if it works you know it was an issue with the item and not the scanner.

Item Not Found - create an entry and add it yourself as a New Food and save to your favorites.

4. DAILY REMAINING

The number of BITES you have remaining for the day. This is calculated by the information in your PROFILE and is specific to the plan you select. [4a] represents how many of your allotted Daily BITES you’ve used [4b] represents the total BITES used for the day including any pulled from Weekly or Earned Activity

5. WEEKLY REMAINING

The number of BITES you have remaining for the week. Depending on what you have selected under your WEIGHT LOSS PLAN options - once you go over your DAILY BITES, any extra BITES needed will either be taken from these Weekly BITES or your Earned Activity.

6. ACTIVITY REMAINING

Displays the number of activity BITES earned when you MOVE! You can add workouts and specific activities under the ACTIVITY tab or sync your Fitbit or Apple Smart Watch to import and track your steps. BITES earned from activity can be used daily, accumulated weekly or not used at all. You can choose whether to use this earned activity bonuses before or after weeklies or Manually Redeem them as you want.

7. CALORIE & MACRO SECONDARY TRACKING

This line can be used to track either Calories or Macros in conjunction with your BITES. BITES and Calories ARE NOT necessarily equal. You can, especially on plans like Smart and Flex, use all your daily BITES and still be UNDER your daily caloric target. This is because not all plans consider calories in their equation and plans like Smart / Flex have a different algorithm for sugar which effects its BITES value.

8. GREEN DOTS

Green Dots are a way to mark the days that you are within your Healthy BITES target. Combining this with Calorie or Macro tracking can give you a great overview of your progress. You earn a • Green Dot on any day that you are within -10%/+15% of your Daily BITES.
